By accessing or using Invoice Extractor ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

2. Description of Service

Invoice Extractor is an AI-powered document processing service that extracts structured data from invoice documents. The Service includes:

• Upload and processing of PDF and image invoice documents
• AI-powered extraction of invoice data fields
• Export of extracted data in CSV and JSON formats
• Temporary storage of documents for processing

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or email authentication. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Credits and Payment

The Service operates on a credit-based system:

• New users receive 2 free extraction credits
• Additional credits can be purchased through our payment processor (Stripe)
• Credits are non-refundable except as required by law
• Credits do not expire
• Failed extractions do not consume credits and can be retried for free
• One credit is consumed per successful extraction

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
• Process documents you do not have the right to access
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service
• Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure

6. Document Processing and Data Handling

When you upload documents to the Service:

• Documents are transmitted securely using 256-bit SSL encryption
• Documents are processed by AI models for data extraction
• Extracted data is stored temporarily for your access
• All documents and extracted data are automatically deleted after 7 days
• We do not use your documents to train AI models
• You retain all ownership rights to your documents and data

7. Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for high accuracy in data extraction:

• AI extraction is not 100% accurate and may contain errors
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying extracted data
• Confidence scores are provided to help identify fields that may need review
• The Service may not work well with heavily damaged, handwritten, or extremely low-quality documents
• We do not guarantee successful extraction of all document types

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers:

• Google - Authentication services
• Stripe - Payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
• AI Service Provider - Document processing and data extraction
• Resend - Email authentication

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Suspected fraudulent or abusive activity
• Non-payment of fees
• At our sole discretion with reasonable notice

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
